8th & 9th May 2012.
Love.
David Choi.

On 8th May, I went for David Choi Concert in Melbourne and it was fun, entertaining, superb, and simply awesome! I don't know why each time I meet David Choi, it feels like I am falling in love all over again. I feel my heart beating twice as fast, hands turning cold, legs turning soft and my voice seems to be fading away... I have a lot of things on my mind that I'd like to share with him but we never had a chance to sit and take our own time to talk as long as we want to. I wish we could hang out just as friends do.

Well I guess that's just my wishful thinking. It would never happen.

Ah well, on the side note, the concert in Melbourne turned out to be different from the ones he did in Jakarta last year. This time round, he had an Australian band working with him; one's a bassist, another's a drummer. I prefer him performing solo though. It seems more original and more 'him'. I mean, that's how he does things in Youtube, right? Singing while playing his own guitar; no bassist, no drummer, nothing. I guess that's more like him. Especially when his songs are very soothing and blue.

I gotta comment on his new hairstyle too. He had a spiky hairstyle and it made him look like a 'good boy gone bad'. It's like he attempted to look like a bad boy but failed. He looks better with his normal hairstyle. The hairstyle that he normally have when he sings in his Youtube videos. Flat hair? Good boy kind of hairstyle.

But all in all, his concert was great, I enjoyed it much!
What made me really happy, and blessed was when he remembered my name and my face!
Here's the conversation during the short Meet & Greet session..

Me: Hi, David!!! Do you still remember me??!
*passes him 2 album and a DC toon sticker to sign on, and a letter especially for him*
David: You look very familiar!
*His eyes looking straight into mine*
David: You're Vera?! Hi, how are you? How's your studies going?
Vera: Omg you really remember me.. Yeah, been pretty stressful here..
David: *smiles* You think I can't remember you huh.. Study hard ok!
*signs on both album and wrote my name on mine, and he volunteered to sign on the CD as well!*
*took picture*
Vera: Can I hug and kiss you?!
David: *Arms open wide* *smiles*
Vera: *hugs* *kisses on DC's right cheek*
Vera: Thank you!!! Take care David :)

IT WAS SHORT BUT FUCKING MEMORABLE AND IT LITERALLY MADE ME FEEL SO TOUCHED! COS HE REMEMBERS MY NAME AND MY FACE!!!!!!

HOW MANY FAMOUS PEOPLE ACTUALLY REMEMBER THEIR FANS NAME?!
IT SHOWS HOW NICE DAVID CHOI IS. HOW HE REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE HIS FANS.

On 9th May, I woke up early for my Japanese Listening Test and I swear I was feeling lethargic and restless.
UNTIL I SAW AN EMAIL THAT WAS SENT FROM MELD MAGAZINE.
UH HUH, I GAINED ACCESS TO DAVID CHOI'S UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL INTIMATE QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION!!!
I went home after my second class, changed my outfit and wore a dress for the event :/
Reached the venue an hour before the event started.
David Choi was late so the event started late as well.

I think the session lasted only about an hour or so.
It was very interesting, funny, amazing and I guess as long as there's David Choi, everything would seem perfect.
There wasn't supposed to be any Meet & Greet session but David Choi is nice and kind enough to have one!
Amazed, shocked, surprised, choked.
When it was my turn to take a picture with him, we did a short eye contact and this what he said!

David: Eh hi Vera! How are you?! Thank you so much for coming!
Me: Hi, I'm fine!
*took a picture*
*hugged him again*
David: Thank you for coming,Vera!
*trust me, my heart was beating like a leopard chasing its prey. and my face was red, blushing like hell!!!!*

After few minutes.........

I went back to the queue and asked David Choi to sign on the plain white t-shirt that I bought especially for him to sign on.
I guess I really requested a lot from him but IT IS STILL NOT ENOUGH!

Me: Can you draw something on this t-shirt?
David: Sure! Anything?
Me: Yeah, anything you want!
David: Can you hold the t-shirt?
*Me and Pauline, David's event manager, held the t-shirt for him to sign*
David: Oh you should know the drill.
*Signed on it, drew a house, a tree, clouds, sun, birds*
Me: Can you draw yourself?
*David drew a man*
Me: Can you draw a penguin?
David: A penguin?!
*Draws a penguin next to the man*
David: Is this a penguin?
Me: Yes it is! A very cute one!
Me: Can you also write my name on it?
David: Yeah sure, *mumbles 'To Vera' while writing it*
Me: Oh THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

HELL YEAH I WAS ON CLOUD NINE!!!

I waited till his interview was over then took the chance to take another picture with him!
It was great!
He's so nice, and humble.
I love him so much!!!!

The last sight of David Choi:
A black car drove past the tram stop and I looked over.
David Choi was inside. He sat at the backseat and he didn't look outside the window, but Pauline sure saw us standing there.
Could see her laughing.
Oh I bet they must be talking about how crazy we were.

PS. Made new friends. This sweet and GOSH, I swear I'm thankful to have her by my side throughout the whole QnA session and probably for the whole night! Thanks for her presence, marker and her bravery! Woohoo!! She's Elisa :)

PSS. Made new friends. People who are working for MELD MAGAZINE. An Indonesian guy who helped us a lot. At least, to me, he did helped a bit. He's Thomas :)

Thank God for giving me such memorable days.

"i don’t think it’s time that heals hearts, but distance from the person you were when you loved." It takes so much courage to fall in love. So much risk to trust someone you barely knew. One moment feeling so sure that he's the one who will always be there for you till the end of time. Then the next, feeling all crushed up because you realized that life is unfair and somehow, disappointments and anxiety keeps hitting in your face. I never thought distance could be a problem. The feeling of insecurity.
It's not that I believe everything happens for a reason. It’s just that… I just think that some things are meant to be broken. Imperfect. Chaotic. It’s the universe’s way of providing contrast, you know? There have to be a few holes in the road. It’s how life is. — Sarah Dessen Reminiscing old times as a Studio Ghibli Freak
